Me, Now and Then
“Warning! If you ever have to give up on something, watch out! It does not know that you have a good deed in your mind. Once you can’t give something wonderful on it, it will leave you behind. It will fight hard to show that you were not a good partner, just an enemy. Then, if you have something good for it, yeah, it will come to you tenderly and friendly. Giving up is only the key to the failure. ” That was what my parents asked to me before I was 17. In fact, that’s what I keep in my mind. Thank God!
I am a 24 year-old girl. I was born in an extraordinary family, with full of joy and sorrow.It went without saying; I was hunger of knowledge and information. I kept trying to enrich my knowledge in whatever ways I come across with that., like reading, watching news on TV, etc.
Next, it was my Junior High school period, I surprisingly turned into teenage films and boy-bands. Yup! I started to watch HOME ALONE and WESTILFE. Home Alone was TV show that I really missed in my leisure time. It told me how we survived even not in good deed. It told me how good it was if we were good to others. What about Westlife? 7) Yeah, I love every song in their albums, such as “I have a Dream and Seasons in the Sun” in their first album, “Soledad” in second album, and many more.
In Senior High school, that was the time I fell in love with a guy. It was because of his good-looking and kindness. His name is (hidden) ^__^ Actually, he was excellent student, especially in Math. He always helped me to learn Math regularly. We agreed to have study club. We went from home to home, so that we recognized all our friend’s houses. It was really memorable event for me.
However, at the end of school, after we passed National Examination, everything was changing. We were very busy with our own business. We were separated. I missed my friends a lot, and also my teachers. I missed sharing with them, though my very best friend betrayed me. I hurt me, softly.
And here was my first poem for them in my farewell party.
It Makes Me Angry
It makes me angry; to wait and watch
for turning cars;
but, I’d rather wait
by far;
then get run over
by a car;
there’s a joy in
Feeling the warmth;
come to the great world;
and……
seeing the sun;
follow its old footprint;
in the night.

And now, I am graduate school student while I am working for Sriwijaya University Language Institute. Here, I explore my ability in teaching and English, but yeah, with many tasks to do and assignments to finish. Above all, I love doing these. Thing that I can not forget is that in this time, my tears unconsciously torn on my eyes when I was reading The Notebook novel written by Nicholas Spark.This book was really fantastic. It boosts up my emotion and thought. Chicken Soup book was my alternative book to read now.
Today, with the spirit of togetherness with my friends, and business in my work and study, I am determined to be success. My future is only my own responsibility. Regardless to say, if I do good things, hopefully I get more, or vice versa.
mmmm so greaaaaaaaaat
